Festival of Fools- Burlington Vermont
The Festival of Fools is a curated festival of street theater in Burlington Vermont devoted to community engagement through the celebration of circus arts, music and comedy for family audiences. Now in its fifth year, the Festival of Fools offers free events, open to the public and appropriate for all age groups.
This year’s festival will be held August 3-5, 2012 and will feature a bevy of internationally known street performers, including the following:
David Aiken — The Checkerboard Guy — from Vancouver, Canada
Reid Belstock  — from Colorado
Bucket O’ Fun – From Vermont
Jonathan Burns’ Flexible Comedy — from Pennsylvania

Mark Ettinger  – from NYC
The KamiKaze FireFlies  — from California
MarchFourth Marching Band  – from Oregon
Richard Stamp – Stompy / Dot Comedy — from England
Michael Trautman  — from Maine
Wells & Woodhead  — from Denmark & Vermont
Aileen Wilkie — From Scotland
Kate Wright – The Ding Dong Show, Yvonne Calling  — from Australia
Doloreze Leonard – Madame Zazou– From Quebec
In addition, there will be a free screening of Chaplin’s film The Circus, a photo exhibit of Eccentric Performers by Variety performer photo legend Jim Moore (of Vaudevisuals.com) a food court, two late night cabarets hosted by Madame Zazou, one of the original performers of Cirque du Soleil), a kids zone featuring training stations, and lots of other fun stuff to do. Â Jim Moore’s photo exhibit will feature pieces from the series The Clown UnMasked, (link to our previous feature about this)
