Interplay and Sacred Clown Workshop
“Clowning Around: InterPlay and Sacred Clown,†a workshop facilitated by Jean Carlos Claudio and Agnotti on Wednesday, will take place on March 28th from 6:30pm-9pm at Cup & Spoon 2415 W North Ave.
This is a community event that happens monthly. Admission is priced on a sliding scale. This month, the event is a lighthearted evening of spontaneous connection and clowning around. They will delve into InterPlay’s fun and easy practices of movement, storytelling, and voice as well as tap into sacred clowning using authentic emotions to find the hilarity in human responses.
If you aren’t familiar with the term Interplay, you should be. Interplay is a form or style of storytelling and movement that attempts to unlock creativity, connect people back to authentic movements and emotions, and  It combines ideas from practices in storytelling, authentic movement, dance, improvisation, and clowning to help practitioners connect the heart, mind, body, and soul together. It was founded by California based performers and philosophers Cynthia Winton-Henry and Phil Porter, who together operate a nonprofit called Body Wisdom that encompasses all of the Interplay activities.
