ABOUT Rafael Bianciotto
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Rafael studied computer science and theatre at La Parque and the Universidad de Buenos Aires, later abandoning computers to devote his time entirely to the theatre. IN 1990 he travelled to France where he met Mario Gonzalez and discovered the universe of the masks of Commedia dell’Arte. He soon became assistant to Mr. Gonzalez, and went on to become an actor and director in his company. In 1995 he created the New York Mask and Clown Workshop, with which he works in alternation with his own company, Zéfiro Theater, and the Companie Mario Gonzalez in Paris. He currently teaches at the Conservatoire d’Art Dramatique d’Orléans, and has directed workshops in France, Scandinavia, and throughout the Americas.
