Cirque du Soleil’s Kurios in Chicago 2015
Cirque du Soleil’s 35th show: Kurios, Cabinet of Curiousities will come to Chicago’s United Center August 6-Sept 20, 2015.
The show, which will be performed under a tent in the United Center’s Parking lot, will mark the first time in 4 years that Cirque has come to Chicago.

Based on the idea of a nineteenth century curio cabinet (also known as a Cabinet of Wonder), the show transports the audience to a fantastical world where time seems to stop and just about anything can happen. Â The curio cabinet is stocked with exotic and interesting performers who can do all sorts of things that will amaze, astound, and entertain the audience. Â There’s a steampunk feel to the show
The show premiered last year in Canada, and has been hailed as one of Cirque’s best shows.
As with most Cirque du Soleil shows, the sets and costumes look amazing.
And the acts that they have brought in are some of the best in the world, with over 100 performers from 21 different countries performing.

The show is also one of the most prop and costume heavy shows in Cirque history, with over 426 props in the show and over 24 hours of laundry a week for the costume people to do.
