From fancy to flop to flight, the world of Clown is full of extremes. In solo, duo, trio, and group work, we’ll examine status, minimum to maximum, letting go to the moment & keeping it simple. Come play in a safe, but challenging class designed for first time Clowns or seasoned Clowns that need a kick in the butt.

John Leo won the Gold Medal in the 2008 New York Clown Olympics for wiggling his little butt/bribing the judge in the Eccentric Dance competition. From 2001-2007, he lived in Juneau, Alaska where he made outrageous burlesque, puppetry and physical theater. His collaborations have won Best of SF Fringe 2003 and Best Comedy of the SF Fringe 2008. He has toured to Mexico (2004) and Guatemala (April 2010) with Clowns Without Borders. He is currently a pediatric Clown Doctor with the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Program in NYC area hospitals. A graduate of the Dell ‘Arte School of Physical Theatre, John has studied with Ronlin Foreman, Ricardo Puchetti and Sue Morrison.
